Carbon fiber parts preforming and forming plant

The plant, completely developed by Cannon, is composed by two lines: one for the preforming of carbon fiber layers, and one for the forming of carbon fiber with injection of epoxy resin, using two different technologies:
RTM (Resin Transfer Mould) in which the mix of resin/hardener/release agent is transferred by a dosing unit directly into the mould
LLD (Liquid Lay Down) in which the fiber layer is impregnated with epoxy resin outside the mould and then transferred in it by a robot.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

Full control of the plant automatic cycle from 21,5” HMI. Master plant for the synchronization and monitoring of the units.

Liquid laydown robot programmed directly from HMI by drawing the robot path on the touch screen with innovative Automata RPI tool.

Data recording with Automata DCSP for each single produced part; easy access to stored data from user interface installed on master HMI or supervisor’s PC.
